Stop Dog Jumping Up

| How to stop your dog from jumping up on furniture, people, countertops, and anything else you want your dog off of. |
Jumping - Many trainers, depending on their training methods, will tell owners to ignore their dog if
he jumps. This usually eventually works if properly done, since the dog will learn that jumping gets
him no attention. However, for an adult dog it is NOT the most effective (and certainly not the
quickest) way. Jumping is usually something we can eliminate during the first FEW MINUTES of
training. If the dog can quickly learn a command, as they do in our programs, then "off" will not
have the irrelevant meaning to your dog that it may seem to have now.
