Some of our past clients...
Testimonial written by the Ruskins, owners of Elvis (a 7 year old Shih-Tzu) and Zoe (a 3 year old
Bulldog mix):

"When we hired Molly [Dog Training Unlimited's Owner & Training Director] we were in a serious dog
crisis!!!  We lived in a house of gates with one dog on either side and frequent barking and threatening
postures.  Protection for Elvis was a foremost since he weighed in at 11 pounds to Zoe's 60 pounds.  Any
guest who was brave enough to enter our home encountered a 60 pound barking dog who clearly wanted
to leap over the gate and attack them.  We were always on edge and constantly afraid that if Zoe ever
managed to get to Elvis, she would kill him.  We loved both dogs and wanted to keep them both but did
not know how that would ever be possible.  Then we met Molly.  She taught us so much about dog
psychology, dominance, being the human leader, and establishing one dog as the Alpha.  She easily
assessed our situation and we were immediately able to implement many of her suggestions.  Molly worked
with us and our dogs in her obedience program learning commands, and in a few weeks time our gates
were down and the dogs were cohabitating peacefully.  We are still working with them using the methods
that she taught us.  We can now have guests in the house and Zoe has learned to greet them
appropriately.  Elvis and Zoe are still working on their relationship but we no longer live in fear of a serious
dog fight.  Molly was a miracle worker for us!"
Testimonial written by Andrea Trent, owner of Clementine the Mini Dachshund:

"Hiring Molly to train my miniature Dachshund Clementine was the best thing I ever did!  Clementine was a bit
aggressive and doxies tend to be domineering and stubborn, so after having 2 other doxies prior to getting
Clementine, I decided that training was the way to go.  In just 4 weeks my dog learned to be less aggressive and
most importantly, to obey me as the master.  I feel I have control of her for her safety and for her well-being.  It's
the best money spent!"
Congratulations to the Corderos!

Here is the three year old co-owner of
Freddy, the 5 month old South African
Boerboel.

Freddy will be a big boy full grown, but
fortunately he is VERY well behaved!
Testimonial written by Renee Hebert, owner of Miles the Labrador/Pointer mix...

"Our dog, Miles was always a good dog.  We didn't have any trouble with aggression or basic
commands.  We did, however, have difficulty enforcing commands in the absence of a biscuit.  Miles
would obey commands if he didn't have a better offer.  For example, he'd come when called if we had a
biscuit.  If there was something more interesting like a squirrel or another dog, he wouldn't even look
back as he sprinted in the other direction.  Walking Miles was also a problem.  He would drag us down
the street despite any and every contraption he was saddled with (pinch collar, gentle leader, etc.).
We also tried 3 sessions of expensive dog training classes for a year.
Then came Molly [Dog Training Unlimited's Owner].  After a few lessons, Miles was responding to every
command he was given.  We were able to "loose leash walk" with Miles and even have him off leash.
We also noticed that Miles was a lot more content and less skittish.  He knew that we were in control
and he could relax a bit.  This carried over into other areas as well.  He was milder around visitors and
children.  We've since moved to North Carolina to a neighborhood that is filled with children.  Miles loves
playing fetch or ball off leash in the park with children ranging in age from 2 to 12.  Our 10 year old
neighbor takes him for daily walks.  Our 6 year old niece, who was petrified of a 5 pound Yorkie, actually
snuggles and walks Miles like they are old friends. (see photo)  For us, training has allowed us to enjoy
walking and living safely and happily with Miles.  For our neighbors, training has earned him the
reputation of being best behaved and "the neighborhood dog."  They now refer to him as "Mild Miles."
I would recommend this training for anyone!!!!!!  Thanks Molly!"
Letter received from Kristina Ziobro, owner of Leila (Black Lab) and Tehya (Chocolate
Lab)...

"I just wanted to let you know how wonderful it was when I took Tehya and Leila up to
the Poconos.  As I had told you - the whole reason for me coming to you for training was
due to the incident last time I was there with the dogs.  It was 6:00 in the morning and I
was the first to awake to let them outside, in my pajamas, barefoot.  As soon as the dogs
got outside they took off up the long winding road that runs in front of the house.  In the
past I always managed to keep the girls close, but they must have seen a deer or animal
and took off.  So there I was in my pajamas and barefoot running a half mile up the road
(which gets quite busy) trying to gather the dogs.  I thought for sure I was never going to
see them again.  However I got lucky - very lucky and of course I did retrieve them.  So
that leads me to two weeks ago.  The girls stayed by my side - off-leash - the entire time.
The family was so impressed and as a result the girls got to do so many things they were
never allowed to do before (as well as me).  They got to join the other 2 dogs (English
Mastiff and another Chocolate Lab) for the daily walks up the mountain.  They also got to
go to the river and go swimming.  I can't tell you how wonderful it was for everyone to
have them so well behaved.  As I said not only did the girls have a fantastic time - but I did
as well.  I was filled with joy just seeing the two of them have so much fun.  And I owe it
all to you and the training you have provided the girls.
Thank you."
Kristina sent us this picture of her with Leila and Tehya at
Hacklebarney State Park.  She writes as an update "We
went for a walk and didn't need leashes - the dogs
listened to my every word and stayed right by my side -
they were incredible!"
Please feel free to give us a call if you'd like to speak with some of our past clients.
Many, including some of those here, would be happy to talk with you about their experience!
This is a letter we received from Kim Mattis, owner of Rocky the German Shepherd.

I would like to take the time to say how wonderful Rocky is doing.  The training that you provided was excellent.  Rocky always listened but only when he
wanted to.  Now he listens ALL the time.  Every time we went for a walk he would pull me on the leash, and the walk ended up being more work instead
of enjoyable.
Rocky's size is very intimidating and in the past he was very hard to handle.  Now, thanks to your training, I have the control over Rocky instead of Rocky
controlling me.  Thanks for your help and spending time to adjust his training to my needs.
The training was very flexible and adjustable based on the needs of myself and Rocky.  This program was the best I've found for dog training.  I'd
definitely come to you again next time I adopt another dog.  Your knowledge and professionalism was great.  Thanks for all your help and ongoing
support.

Thank you very much,
Kim/Rocky
Traci Hurley & her dog Leo

Leo was a shelter dog, about one year old at the
time of his training.  He had troubles with jumping,
nipping, pulling on the leash and overall
unruliness.  Not anymore!  He changed quickly and
remains very well behaved.  Here he is in a park
around the distractions of other dogs.
This is a letter we received from Jennifer Swayze, owner of Zoë the Labradoodle.

You are amazing...What you have done for my family and my Zoë is amazing!  Zoë was a year old when she went to stay with you for a week.  She was
destructive, jumping, going in the house all the time, not listening off leash and pulling so hard on the leash I couldn't let the kids walk her.  After a week
with you she was calmer and extremely obedient.  She has gained a lot of confidence over the last few weeks since she has stayed with you.  We are
able to play with her outside, inside and she is a joy in the car.

Here is the real story - I live in a suburban/rural area.  We have lots of squirrels, deer, turkeys, bears, fox etc.. in the area.  Every morning Zoë runs to
catch the squirrels.  One morning last week when I opened the door - two deer ran right in front of us.  Zoë took off like a shot with the deer, I told her
to come - she stopped dead in her tracks and came right to my side.  She wanted so much to keep chasing the deer - but she came back home right
away.....Amazing - she would have been on a tour of the neighborhood had the deer been in the yard a few weeks ago.

Thank you for making Zoë the perfect family pet.  She is so smart and bright and now a lot more confident, happy and most importantly safe.  Her
happiness has translated directly into more security, trust and happiness for the family.  Not to mention, even my four year old understands how to
successfully give Zoë commands.  The instructions you gave us were clear, simple and when followed exactly have produced amazing results.

Thank you for transforming the relationship we all have with Zoë!

Jennifer
This is a letter we received from Carolyn Brzezicki, owner of Brindahl the Terrier mix.

You've changed our world! Our 4 year old mixed terrier was a real problem. His protective nature of me and the house led to excessive barking and even
biting. Our veterinarian suggested we take him to a behavior specialist, who diagnosed him with 'fear aggression'. He was prescribed Prozac and we
tried again to train him. But he is not motivated by treats, and we could not get him to listen. He would hide from us when we tried to enforce
commands. Eventually we used a citronella barking collar to try to control some of his behaviors. But we knew we needed to do something else the day
he bit my 87 year old grandfather! His aggressive nature was unpredictable and dangerous. We no longer felt we could have company come to the
house. And if we put him in a crate, he would whine and bark for hours.

After 2 weeks with you, he returned to our home with manners. Using the methods you taught us, he is able to manage even with intense distractions -
for example when the neighbor's dog enters our yard! He went from an out of control, ballistic dog to a quiet and disciplined member of our family. Thank
you so much! We have the dog we always knew he could be.

This is a letter we received from Linda Rehrig, owner of Buddy the Black Lab.  A video of him can
be seen
HERE of him on his first day of training.

Bringing Buddy, our 13 month old black lab, to you for training was one of the best decisions we ever
made.  After just one day, the transformation was amazing!

Taking him outside on a leash had been a real tug of war.  He would pull so hard that we were either
choking him or being yanked around the yard. If he got away from us, he would run at a deer’s pace
and we thought he would be gone forever.

His life in the house was solely attention driven.  He would jump, bark and playfully nip at everyone.
He would steal whatever he could find, tease you with it, and nothing seemed out of reach.
After one day with Molly, we were able to walk him, instead of him walking us.  After just a
couple of sessions, we now take him outside off leash and life inside the house has taken a
complete turn.  Life for Buddy and for all of us is much more enjoyable thanks to you and
Dog Training Unlimited.  Your help and ongoing support has been wonderful.

Thanks Again Molly from the Rehrig Household
This is a testimonial we received from Maria Fernandez, owner of Chewby

My husband and I fell in love with Chewbacca, a 3 year-old Briard mix, the moment we met him at the shelter. “Chewby” loves being in a family
environment and gets along fabulously with our other 2 dogs.  He is well-behaved, confident and has a great sense of fun.  However, this was not
always the case with Chewby. Chewby was nervous and confused when we first brought him home from the shelter. He did not understand his role in
his new family and we were not much help in leading him. He was aggressive towards anyone who entered our home. He became very protective of me
and attempted to bite several family members as they entered our home. No one would visit because of Chewby’s aggression. I was getting pressure
from my family to return him to the shelter. I was heartbroken. Then, I called Dog Training Unlimited. After talking with Molly and seeing a demonstration,
we enrolled Chewby in the dependable dog program. THE RESULTS ARE AMAZING! Chewby became a happy, confident and disciplined member of our
family. In fact, he’s just a great big shaggy heart of fur. Thanks Dog Training Unlimited!
This is a testimonial we received from Alicia Holmgren, owner of Gilligan the Otterhound mix.

Gilligan was adopted just one day before he was set to be euthanized.  We saw that adorable face and knew
we had to save him... however when we got him home and for the next few weeks, we sadly came to realize
why he was put on doggy death row in the first place:  He was already almost 2 years old and yet was never
crate trained, had major separation anxiety (causing damage to himself and anything in his path), wouldn't
eat, wouldn't go to the bathroom outside, didn't even know his own name OR good/bad boy!  We felt we
needed to give him every opportunity to be a good boy and have a real chance in this world - that is where
Molly came in.

We dropped him off at D
og Training Unlimited and after 10 days on the Unlimited program we picked up a
brand new Gilligan!  He is now a joy to be around - visitors to our home comment on what a wonderful dog he
is and are always amazed the most by the PLACE command... that one is a lifesaver in itself!  He is a happy
dog and we are even happier owners now that we have such a success story!

Thank you, Molly, for saving his life... we may have brought him to you, but you made him who he is today.
